Traditional Finnish flat bread
Finnish style flatbread is a must-try. Wood-fired oven will give your flatbread a delicious flavour. Serve with butter and gravlax.
4 servings
Ingredients
• 1 l buttermilk
• 1-1,2 kg barley flour
• 25 g fresh yeast
• 1,5 tbsp fine sea salt
Method
1. Mix fresh yeast in warm buttermilk. Gradually add salt and flour. Stir to combine. The dough should be thick and a little resistant, but not overly stiff.
2. Knead for about a minute or so to bring it all together.
3. Dust a work surface and a rolling pin with flour. Divide the dough into 4 equal-sized pieces. Using a rolling pin, roll the pieces into thin, round circles.
4. Use a fork to poke holes all over the surface of the flatbreads.
5. Bake the flatbreads in MyPizza oven, one at a time, until they are golden and lightly browned in some spots.
6. Serve with butter and gravlax. Enjoy!
